We had a long 4 hour drive ahead of us, Salt Lake City to Bryce Canyon. We were really looking forward to visit this park because the pictures that we had seen were all so amazing. In real life it was just that !

Around lunch, we entered the park. We had planned to visit all the lookout points while doing some short hikes. The sun was shining, but it was freezing cold.

We walked to Sunrise Point where we had the view of Thor’s Hammer and 5 minutes further we saw the Natural Bridge. Even if the point was called ‘sunrise point’, the view was beautiful the entire day (idem dito for ‘sunset point’).

At Bryce Point we had a wonderful view of the Bryce Canyon Amphitheater. It was breathtaking… Incredible how nature could surprise us 🙂

When we arrived at Sunset Point, we walked for a while on the Navajo Trail, however, we did not complete it fully. It was a bit more than 2 km and would take at least an hour. We took some pictures from above.

From Rainbow Point we followed the short and easy Bristlecone Loop of 1.6 km towards Yovimpa Point. All in all it took around half an hour to complete . The forested trail was named after the Bristlecone pines.

We had booked the Bryce Canyon Inn in Tropic. They had real nice cabins in wood, very cozy. And by the way, their coffee and muffins that we tasted were delicious (so were the bagels 😎)!
