Today was a very calm day. First a leisurely breakfast and then pool day. We skipped lunch because we booked the afternoon tea at the Emirates Palace Hotel and we wanted to make sure that we were hungry enough :-).
The luxury hotel was overwhelming. Gold all around us. We were taken to our table and were asked what we wanted to drink. Their specialty coffees were the Emirate Palace Cappuccino with 23 karat gold flakes and the camelccino. As a first drink we went for the coffee with gold flakes… hahaha, we were 23 karat more worth now :-).
Then the plateaus with delicacies arrived. Oh my god, how would we be able to eat all of that ? But the pastries and sandwiches were exceptional, so gooooood…
As a second drink we tasted the camelccino. Also very nice !
It was impossible to eat all the goodies, so they gave us a doggy bag (really !), so we could further enjoy them later in the evening or the day after… It was an experience that we will not quickly forget !
Before returning to our hotel, we wanted to go for a drink in the bar so we could have a view of the palace by night. This could be seen from the terrace. The view was stunning !
We then left the Emirates Palace Hotel and while waiting for our taxi, we took some pictures from Dubai by Night. So beautiful all those lights.
Another great day and experience to remember…
